Katy White and Tarita Murray will be instructing on the use of TS360, with a focus on grids and MARC profile that is required for One-Click and CLS ordering.  Any Technical Services or Public Services staff who are involved in ordering through Baker and Taylor should attend.  This is in the training room and limited to one seat per library.

This training is repeated at 2PM on September 26 as well.

Customized Library Services, or CLS, offers shelf-ready processing and cataloging services for books, spoken word audio, e-books, downloadable audio, DVDs, and CD music, for libraries across the country and locally in Suffolk County.  In addition, we offer project management support for our CLS libraries, which offers a heightened level of service to pull together cross functional teams on the B&T side (collection development, cataloging, processing, integrating Collection HQ and ESP, Ebooks, School share, etc.).

A recent article from American Libraries magazine - featuring Robert Moffett, division chief of access services, Gail Borden Public Library District, Elgin, Illinois - outlines the time and money the library system has saved, and the new programs they’ve instituted that are patron-facing, thanks to CLS:  https://americanlibrariesmagazine.org/2017/07/19/save-staff-time/.  It sums up what CLS can do for libraries quite succinctly – please take a look!
